Dinning Out

Hello hello!

Well to report back, the dessert was delicious, and far to full of sugar! I think I should keep this out of reach of children as it may be one of those ‘gateway’ drugs they talk about all the time! I think the only 2 steps after this one are straight to speed balling, then into rehab with the celebs!

I’d planned (well it wasn’t so much a plan as an absence of any plan) to stay home and have a quiet night watching TV and playing with my blog site some more, but just before dinner time I got a call from a friend who wondered if I was in town and had any interest in going for dinner. I wasn’t in town but due to a complete lack of forward planning I also had nothing for dinner so decided to go into town.

We had a very nice dinner at Arashi ? on Courtenay Place (Incidentally same name as a very famous Japanese pop-boy band). It was a very nice meal of Japanese food, but sadly I was still left empty and wanting more. After living off real fresh Japanese food all of last year I am still struggling to find anything that compares in quality and taste to what you get even at the supermarket in Japan. This is not to say the food here is not delicious. Before I had lived in Japan my taste buds were perfectly delighted to get to eat the Japanese food served here and it was all very delicious, but now I have made the mistake of spoiling my taste buds and they are trying to stage a revolution and make me even skinnier by not letting me be satisfied with the food here.

Never mind, I can defeat them with white-choc mousse for breakfast! They can’t fight if they have been sent into a coma before lunchtime!

As I can tell by my clock which says it is nearly 1:30am (in Japan!) I should be going to sleep now and stop rambling.

Before I go, let me leave you with this video I found on someone elses page today.

A piece of random petrol head nostalgia from the Nissan Mobil 500 around the Waterfront in the 90’s! I think I can see the old Circa building we used to watch from, but I can’t see myself looking over the edge!

  1. hi Humph, I’ve just had a look at your blog page…great stuff, I think it can get addictive. When do you find time to do all this plus study, go out, make desserts and feed the dog?? I have to admit that this is my first ever blog experience and so far it is good..I showed it to Brian who doesn’t know what a blog actually is and he thought your pics are really good. Will check every so often…carolina and brian (granpa..haha!!)

  2. Thank you very much! I’m impressed that you got Brian to look at it too! If you don’t want to check back too much you can always click the ‘By Email’ button at the top of the screen and you will get an email when there is something new to read on here!
I wonder what I would have to write about to get Grandpa interested… He would of enjoyed the video on this page or is the Wellington 500 not good enough compared to Bathurst?
